ZipEnergy Ltd. empowers local communities to create, co-own, co-manage, and profit-share through a community-based Local Energy Market (LEM) start-up. LEMs are ideal for rural communities where local energy services and/or infrastructure are either poorly managed, or are becoming increasingly inaccessible and/or unaffordable for the majority of local residents.

About Us

Each LEM start-up will be structured as a DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) entity. Once initiated, each new LEM will co-manage their own Community Energy Service (CES) within their defined territory. ZipEnergy provides a Battery-as-a-Serviceâ (BaaS) delivered through the ZIP Energy Network (ZEN), which also enables CES usage simulation modeling as part of its start-up service.

Our Services

To allow each CES to commence operations in the most affordable way possible, ZEN will offer partnering LEM start-ups co-financing services. This co-financing is delivered through tokenised, fractional ownership which co-finances the required community-owned renewable energy infrastructure and battery assets, significantly reducing early-stage project risk and removing the usual barrier created by the need for large up-front capital requirements for the local community to build their own energy infrastructure.

Additionally, ZipEnergy, in partnership with ZipMobility Limited, intends to enable start-up LEMs to provide all-electric vehicle fleet services. ZEN will extend the fractional ownership model of vehicles to each partnering LEM via a joint venture in the Community Mobility Service (CMS). Each LEM co-owned vehicle will also be enabled to provide V2H (Vehicle-to-Household) emergency energy back-up services to the community to ensure continuous energy provision.
